Warped Lands

Instead of mountains, this realm consists of jagged and pointy giant stones that penetrate the ground almost everywhere. The landscape looks  twisted and contorted as a result.

Between these massive spikes of stones, grasses and trees grow while rivers tumble around the jagged boulders. In the river valleys, the ground is fertile and many try to make their home, hoping seasonal floods will not drive them to climb the difficult rocks to seek shelter.

Beneath the largest and oldest overhanging ledges, towns have been carved and built until it seems the strange rocks sprouted dwellings naturally.

While many navigate this landscape through climbing routes and narrow trails that wind across the landscape, by far the best means of travel in this land is by air.

For centuries only the birds and flying lizards dominated the skies but others have learned to harness either lightly built gliders or air bubbles fitted with baskets. A few though have learned to tame beasts with wings…
